Cinnamon oil has an extremely high, broad spectrum antioxidant capacity, second only to clove oil. Included in any blend, it will serve as an excellent preservative.

Kurt Schnaubelt says that the internal application of cinnamon bark is well tolerated and is safe and effective, provided it is used in appropriate small dosages. He recommends one drop of oil into one tablespoon of edible vegetable oil and then ingesting that mixture in a gelatin capsule.
Because of the spiciness, we recommend a maximum dilution of 0.1% for topical applications. Do not use Cinnamon EO if pregnant or breastfeeding.
