For Laundry

Conventional laundry detergent is loaded with chemicals like sulfates, fragrances, phenols and more. Many brands contain things like petroleum distillates, which are linked to cancer and lung disease. These detergents are made of a mix of harmful chemicals.  Making your own laundry soap is a lot easier than you might think! You only need three basic ingredients to make either a powdered or liquid laundry soap.  Get creative by adding essential oils for odor control.

Hand Washing Fabrics

Every bar is safe to use on even delicate fabrics. Just work up a little lather on hands and use to hand wash your delicate fabrics and rinse.

For Homemade Powdered Laundry Soap

This is a simple recipe for powdered laundry soap. You can use our soap bars in your favorite liquid laundry soap recipe.

• 1 Bar THT Multi Use Soap
• 1 Cup Borax
• 1 Cup Washing Powder

Finely grate soap bar with a cheese grader or food processor. In a large bowl, mix washing soda, Borax and grated soap. If your container is large enough container, you can skip step this step put all ingredients in your storage container and shake.  Store in closed container. We keep ours in half gallon mason jars. ou are using a big enough container, you can skip step 2 and just put all ingredients in storage container or jar and shake.Use 2 Tablespoons to 1/4 cup per load of laundry.  Use 2 Tablespoons to 1/4 cup per load of laundry.

Stain Stick

Use our bar soap as a stain stick to remove tough stain on fabric. Just lightly wet the end of the soap (stain stick), rub against the stain spot until a light lather, then rinse off or wash in the washer as usual.
