What Is An Herbal Consultation?

An herbal consultation is significantly different than a consult from a conventional practitioner. As a faith based, Christian herbalists, I believe that the healing ultimately comes from what God has provided us, and from His grace. I also believe that you are an integral part of the health journey, as you are the one experiencing what is happening in your body. Herbal consultations are an on-going relationship between you and your myself, an herbal practitioner, who will act as your guide as you navigate your own health journey and helping you to find the herbs and other methods that support you on your journey. The outcome of an herbal consultation depends on the work that you are willing do. I am committed to assisting you in reaching optimal health in all aspects of your life.

Great times to consider working with a herbalist include:

Support for navigating a recent diagnosis or change in health status
Support and strategies for long term management of a chronic condition
Times of transition, including: menopause/andropause, pre- and post-natal care, gender transition, major life changes, grief and loss.
Periods of increased stress
Recovery from burnout
Before or after a surgery
For general or preventative care
To develop a deeper sense of self-knowledge and body literacy

Types of Herbal Consultations Offered

I offer a few different options when it comes to working through an herbal consultation.

On-Site Advice

5-10 Minutes (FREE) - No appointment necessary

When you visit our store, my team and I are happy to take your call in order to assist you in finding what you are looking for, and to offer basic guidance when it comes to using herbs, essential oils, or other pre-made herbal products that can help your particular situation. These phone calls do not need to be scheduled ahead of time and are perfect for when you know what your exact needs are and need help finding a product, or when you have questions about using a product. All of our staff members are trained in herbs and aromatherapy, so we are all able to answer questions you may have about herbs and essential oils, how they work, which ones are useful for what types of situations, and how to best use them.

If your concerns are deeper, or you are on medications of any kind, we may suggest you schedule one of our consultations to safely and effectively use herbs. Herbs are powerful, and health is complicated, so in your best interest, we will not be able to offer advice without having all of the facts. We also need to make sure we have enough time to devote to working together before we can make recommendations for more complicated health goals.

Full Initial Consultation

1.5 to 2 Hours ($150) - Start the Booking Process

A full consultation with an herbalist is for people seeking to do deeper work to support their health and achieve long-term changes in their life. You must be willing and interested in acting as allies in the bigger picture, making changes to your diet and lifestyle, and not just be looking for herbs to be a ‘fix’ to your problems.

They are an on-going relationship between you and your practitioner, who will act as your guide as you navigate your own health journey; helping you to find the herbs and other healing modalities that best fit you and your health picture.

The initial consultation will be anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours, during which time we will go in-depth into your health history so that we can gain a clear picture of where you are in your health journey. We will discuss the goals you wish to achieve in terms of your health, and develop a plan on how to reach them.

You will always leave the consult with some kind of recommendation, whether it is lifestyle, herbal, nutritional, or a combination of the three. Many times you will leave with a customized herbal formula and/or nutritional supplements that are right for your situation. If desired, you may also leave with a flower essence formula designed for your emotional support.

Follow Up Consultation

1 Hour ($90) - Start the Booking Process

Available to you on a recommended schedule as well as at your your request anytime after the initial full consultation. The only exception would be if you have not been seen for more tan a year and your health concern have changed. The follow-up consultations are usually shorter, but this depends on the severity of your issues and your own personal needs.

True health is not a one-time fix. It is something that must be worked on, especially when you are trying to change life-long habits. Because of this, we suggest followup consutlation times so that we can make sure you are staying on the path you chart for yourself.

Herbal remedies are extremely effective and naturally ease your body into a state of holistic health and wellness, but they are not stand-alone fixes to achieve your health goals. It all depends on you and how much you are willing to work through the process.

General Appointments for Established Clients

30 Minutes ($30) - Start the Booking Process - SLOTS REOPENING THIS WEEK

These appointments are for established clients only and are most suitable for

When a full followup appointment is not necessary, but there is some minor work that still Neds to be done
When the client has had some changes and feels the need to make minor adjustments to their protocol.

Acute Support or Instructional Appointments for Non Established Clients

15-30 Minutes ($30) - Start the Booking Process - SLOTS REOPENING THIS WEEK

These appointments are available to everyone without the necessity of intake paperwork. These appointments are for the purpose of offering support during short-term seasonal or occasional difficulties, or for herbal hobbyists who are in need of help with formulation. This appointment type might be beneficial for support with:

Cold, flu, and minor virus
Allergy
Short term sleep disruption
Occasional stress
Occasional discomfort
