Our story

The People Behind The Herbal Toad

The Herbal Toad is a herbalist owned and family operated company. It is for that reason that we each take a personal interest in what we do, and continuously strive to deliver a better customer experience. Our team consists of:

Stephanie, who is our founder, master herbalist, and the creative mind behind our company.
Katie is a herbalist apprentice. In addition to working closely with our products, she manages the majority of our social media.
Cole keeps inventory, works in shipping, and in-store customer service.
Tim is the glue that holds it all together with his knowledgable customer service and by filling in wherever he is needed. Tim is also the 'manny' and resident dog walker.

Our Beliefs

Our story is rooted in the traditions of christian based herbalism, a tradition of those in The Herbal Toad family for generations. Christian herbalists are Bible believing Christians called to a natural health and healing ministry. Unlike other herbalists, Christian herbalists rely on God's Word and evidence based medicinal herbs to help heal self and others. The three health care priorities of every Christian herbalist are: Spiritual Health, Emotional (Soul) Health, and Body Health (1 Thes 5:23).

We believe that God gave us every plant on earth for our use. Plants are God’s creation and are good!
We believe that the power of prayer goes hand and hand with the use of these plants.
We believe that it is natural to use plants to support health and vitality.
We believe that we can bless the lives of anyone we meet, whether we share the same belief system or not.

Our goal is to offer high-quality, affordable herbal products, while being a blessing to those we serve. We are grateful for our incredible team that continues to innovate, educate, and foster community around herbal wellness. We are also grateful to our loyal customers, who have shown amazing support and who have blessed us as much as we hope we have blessed them.

We have love and respect for every single one of our customers and community members, no matter their personal beliefs, and at the same time, our faith is an intricate part of who we are as a family, thus who we are as a business. We strive to go above and beyond in everything that we do for our customers. Our knowledgable and customer friendly service team is ready to answer your questions and assist you in choosing the right products for your.

Quality Assurance

Our in-house certified herbalist is dedicated to ongoing research and education, while overseeing the quality of every product we sell. We measure the quality and purity of every products by performing a series of tests. These include organoleptic, refractive index, specific gravity and GC/MS testing through a third-party, independent lab. After these tests are performed, they are then analyzed by chemists and our in-house herbalist. It’s through these analyses that we’re able to put farms and distilleries to the test, ensuring that their product is of the highest quality available and that no additives such as synthetics, fillers, isolates, pesticides and preservatives have been added.
