Description

The Herbal Toad's Organic Honeybush Tea contains just one ingredient, the South African herb Cyclopia intermedia.  Its mahogany brown leaf granules have a distinctly floral, tea-like aroma and flavor, and an amber-colored brew that is similar to our Red Rooibos Tea, but with a naturally sweeter, slightly honey like, flavor.

Honeybush contains antioxidants and various minerals as well as flavones, which can be used to reduce blood lipids and possibly alleviate menopausal symptoms.  Honeybush also contains Pinitol (found in pine trees), which is an expectorant, and therefore has been used for relieving coughs and congestion.

This is a good tea with good flavor. I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who are hesitant to try a herbal tea.
