Description
Caffeine free, naturally sweet with an earthy rich flavor. Rooibos is known to support immune function, aid in stomach discomfort, help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, support healthy blood pressure, support bone health, support heart health, can help with colic, prevent diabetes, prevent kidney stones, help with allergy symptoms, delay aging, and support healthy lactation.* It tastes great both hot and as an iced tea.
Rooibos tea has many health benefits for nursing and pregnant women. It is naturally high in Vitamin C–great for boosting your immune system when it may be suppressed due to pregnancy or sleepless nights with an infant. It is also known to help soothe colicky babies and upset stomachs–yes, even through your milk! Rooibos has long been used by South African mothers who believe that there’s nothing better than a piece of toast and a cup of rooibos for a sick child. We love rooibos tea!
Red rooibos tea has no oxalic acid and therefore, it can be consumed by people who have kidney stones. Rooibos tea is rich in many minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, copper, manganese, zinc, magnesium, and alpha hydroxy acid. It also contains antioxidants like aspalathin and nothofagin and extremely potent and versatile phenolic compounds, as well as rare nutrients like quercetin and bioflavonoids that assist in good blood circulation and also obstruct hemorrhaging.
Rooibos acts as a bronchodilator, and while bronchodilators most commonly treat respiratory conditions, they can also reduce high blood pressure. This, in turn, reduces the risk of a heart attack, heart failure, stroke and other conditions including kidney disease and dementia. However, it’s worth noting that the potential for Honeybush Tea blood pressure benefits remains inconclusive due to a lack of research.
