The Beauty of Argan Oil
The scientific name for Argan Oil is Argan Spinosa, also known as Oil of Morocco or ‘Liquid Gold’. For years Argan Oil was a well-kept secret known only to those who have sought the absolute best in hair and skin care. Argan Oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world due to the small and very specific growing areas.
It all starts with the Moroccan Tree which is grown in South Western Morocco. The Moroccan Tree also known as ‘The Tree of Life’ is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally harsh conditions and bears a fruit which is a delicacy for tree climbing goats. The goats eat the fruit but leave the hard nut untouched. These nuts are then gathered by locals who extract the Argan Oil from the kernels via a cold pressing process.

Argan and Acne
The linoleic acid content of Argan Oil is around 35%, which is great for balancing oily / acne prone skin, however there are a small number of people in this skin category who don’t do well with Argan Oil because of the higher oleic acid content at approximately 45%. If this is your case, Jojoba is an excellent choice.
