Description

Hibiscus flower has been widely used as a flavorful and nutritive food, and the flowers steeped for tea. Folk medicine has traditionally embraced hibiscus flowers for use with hypertension, cholesterol, for its lipid-lowering and renal effects.  Five to thirty percent of hibiscus tea is composed of organic acids. These acids are malic acid, tartaric acid and citric acid. These acids help in boosting immunity, promoting healthier skin, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, managing inflammation, and improving digestive issues. Hibiscus tea has diuretic and choleretic effects, thus controlling blood viscosity by reducing blood pressure and enhancing digestion. Hawthorn flower is an excellent source of vitamin C.*

    Bright and Fresh

Posted by Laura Ambrosia on 16th Jan 2019

I love getting herbs from The Herbal Toad. Everything that I receive is vibrant and fresh. Yes these are dried herbs, but they are still bright in color and taste amazingly fresh. Great quality and fast shipping.

About Our Herbal Products

We use only the highest quality herbs that are certified organic, or holistically wild crafted.

Tinctures & Extracts

We use organic herbs macerated in organic grain alcohol and filtered water. This combination acts as a carrier, bringing the remedy straight to the blood stream for maximum effectiveness. Tinctures are absorbed in the mouth and stomach and bypass the slower intestinal system, making sure you get the most our of every drop.

Loose Herbs & Tea

We grind our herbs and spices in small batches as neeed to retain freshness. Cut herbs and teas are then sealed in nonreactive, resealable bags on the same day that your order is filled. Our process protects the flavorful, healthful constituents of each herb, retaining medicinal quality while providing optimal flavor.

Essential Oils

Our essential oils are unsprayed-wildcrafted, or certified organic, and put through rigorous quality control measures. Every batch is tested by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) testing to ensure therapeutic quality and purity.  There are no synthetics, fragrances, fillers, or toxic chemicals in our essential oils, ever!
